Selected works in acrylic on canvas
Helen Helga's paintings are a pursuit of stillness. Working in warm, earthy tones drawn from the natural world, she builds surfaces where colour, line, and form carry what words cannot. The work sits between simplicity and depth — quiet, but not empty.
Born and raised in Reykjavík, Helen has lived and worked in Copenhagen for the past seventeen years. She is self-taught, with over twenty-five years of practice behind her. Her paintings have been shown in galleries across Copenhagen and are held in private collections internationally.
Her work returns again and again to the same ground: a need for connection — to landscape, to the present moment, and to the silence that runs beneath everything else.
